The below map from 1854 shows Rastrick Common which is the road down the centre. The Red Lion public house and the National School are marked as are the Brook Grain Hill Baths and Rosemary Mill but the relatively small three storey mill was proving to be too small for Wilson’s expanding business and new premises were needed.
